20 Questions Book Tag

THANKS ALABAMA FOR TAGGING ME!!!

And I jump right into the questions....

1. How many books are too many in a series?

I would say about seven. Though it is sad when it ends, by this point it just gets old.

2. How do you feel about cliff-hangers?

It builds suspense! But I only like it when the next book is within your reach, not when I have to wait a few months for the book to be written or published.

3. Hardcover or paperback?

HARDCOVER!!!! XD  It seems so much more sophisticated, and that way the cover does not get bent so easily, which is one of my pet peeves.

4. Favourite book?

The Secret Garden and A Little Princess  -Frances Hodgson Burnett, Little Women -Louisa May Alcott, Anne of Green Gables - L. M. Montgomery. THESE WILL ALWAYS BE TREASURED CLASSIC STORIES LOVED BY ALL. Is it okay that I chose four?

5. Least favourite book?

The Dragon in the Sock Drawer. I read this back in my "dragon phase" (still love dragons XD ) and it was just.... boring. The story just seemed bland and the text was childish ( and this was a long time ago ). I would not recommend it.

6. Love triangles, yes or no?

YES! As long as it's unpredictable and not to over soap opra-ish (it that a word?).

7. The most recent book you couldn’t finish?

Restart by Gordan Korman. It's a good book, I just don't feel like finishing it.

8. A book you are currently reading?

Anne of Green Gables I am re-reading it currently, and still love it as much as when I gently smoothed my hand over the front page for the first time.

9. Last book you recommended to someone?

The Wingfeather Saga But my friend was not interested *sighs* she does not understand.

10. Oldest book you’ve read? (publication date)

THE BIBLE! duh.. Though I have not read ALL of it, and few people actually have *sighs* the most important book ever and few ever read it completely, it is sad to consider the facts.

11. Newest book you’ve read? (publication date)

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............. I read old books, so I literally have NO IDEA!!!

12. Favourite author?

Frances Hodgson Burnett, PERIOD.

13. Buying books or borrowing?

It depends. If you are really interested, than I would buy, but if you are just reading it because a friend recommends it, borrowing is easiest.

14. A book you dislike that everyone seems to love?

I agree with Alabama's answer, Harry Potter. I really have never been that interested.

15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?

Bookmarks, but specifically magnetic bookmarks. 😉 Those are "professional reading" devices.

16. A book you can always reread?

Most classics I can re-read. I think that is why they are considered classics.

17. Can you read while hearing music?

Only instrumental music. I have a "Reading and Writing" playlist for that.

18. One POV or multiple POVs?

Multiple, so that you sympathize with more than one character.

19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

It depends how good of a book it is. 😁

20. Who do you tag?

Anyone who has not done this tag before. :)

  2. I had not been cultured to "professional reading" devices until recently, and I'm hooked! Magnetic bookmarks are super helpful.
I love A Little Princess, more than Secret Garden I think.
    Hahaha Soap Opera-ish. Totally a word. ;)

  3. Awesome blog post! It was fun seeing all your answers!!
Hmm, I haven't read the Wingfeather Saga yet but I hear a lot of people talking about it. I'll have to check into it again.
Ooh, Little Women is really good. Except the first time I read it I didn't realize the version I was reading was NOT the full story. So I was desperately trying to figure out if the whole movie I watched of Little Women was a lie. (it wasn't, I just had to find a book that had the WHOLE story.)

    1. Yes you should find the entire novel of little women, because the movie stops in the middle of the book, so the story continues!!
